Trumansburg Porchfest

 

ABOUT:

Trumansburg Porchfest brings the community together through music! It is a do-it yourself music festival featuring free shows on porches all over the neighborhood. Anyone can host or play a show! The event goes on rain or shine, and visitors are encouraged to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, shopping, drinks, and dessert in our welcoming village while they are here. 

WHEN:

Trumansburg Porchfest is an annual event that takes place on the second or third Saturday in June from Noon to 5pm.

WHERE:

In Trumansburg, of course! Trumansburg (often referred to as Tburg) is located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State and is home of Taughannock Falls. The Village of Trumansburg is a wonderful, walk-able, and friendly community with a vibrant Main Street. Learn more about visiting the area HERE.

PARKING:

Parking is FREE. However, be aware that parking is not permitted on side streets in the Village of Trumansburg. Please use the municipal lot on Elm Street near the Town Hall, the Trumansburg Farmers Market parking lot at the corner of Rt 227 and Rt 96, or park anywhere on Main Street where permitted.

HISTORY:

The first Porchfest was held in Ithaca, NY in 2007. Since then, Porchfests have sprung up in over 100 other cities and towns across North America. Check out the list of all the porchfests elsewhere.

Trumansburg Porchfest was started by a couple of Main Street business owners and a few village residents. The first annual took place on June 17, 2017 with over 40 acts playing shows on over 30 porches. Trumansburg Porchfest is completely community supported and volunteer-run.
